🔥 Busy Thanksgiving with Double Fire 🔥

*4am – 300 West Block of 400 South
Dispatched as a fully engulfed SUV in a garage. Luckily the homeowner was able to pull the vehicle from the garage with another vehicle and save their structure. The SUV was a total loss & the garage sustained minor fire damage. No injures reported.

*1115p – 400 South Block of 500 West
Dispatched to a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, Command confirmed a working fire in the basement, extending into the first floor. Firefighters made aggressive simultaneous attacks into the fully engulfed basement & heavily involved first floor. Due to heavy fire conditions, additional to our Still Alarm, a 1st Alarm, 1st Tanker and 2nd Tanker Plan were requested. Unfortunately, the home sustained heavy fire, smoke and water damage. One resident was transported by EMS as a precaution due to smoke inhalation. No firefighter injuries reported. The fire is under investigation; however initial reports indicate it to be accidental in nature.

Thank you to all the dedicated mutual aid firefighters who came to assist us, even on a holiday!
