On the afternoon of October 6th, LOFSVFF and neighboring departments responded to the massive brush fire this afternoon in the area of 101st and Grand Blvd. Simultaneously due to a second call at 97th and Grand BLVD Merrillville FD was also responding. All agencies arrived on scene and worked hard simultaneously together to gain control of the fire.
