Hobart Fire: “At 8:25 pm our crews responded to a reported building fire at the corner of 84th & Colorado, on the far southside of Hobart. The first arriving crew found heavy fire on the northeast side of the building that is used primarily for storage. Incident Command quickly upgraded the response to a third alarm, bringing multiple resources from across the area. The fire was contained and extinguished within two and a half hours. There were no injuries. The fire is under investigation. Thank you to the Hobart Police, and the following Fire Departments: Gary, Crown Point, Merrillville, Lake Station, New Chicago, Portage, Valparaiso, Boone Grove, Lake Hills and Lake of the Four Seasons, as well as Superior Ambulance.”
