Just before 1 am, LOFS Fire Force was dispatched to the 3900 block of South Lakeshore Drive in the LOFS community for a reported structure fire. Chiefs 3502, 3503, and 3511, 3522, 3544, and 3531 responded. While enroute to the fire, a box alarm upgrade was requested bringing many local departments for help.

Upon arrival residents stated the exterior of their house was on fire, to which they extinguished with a garden hose but believe fire was in the attic space. Fire was visible through the roof shortly after. Quick action by the on duty crew along with support from the multiple agencies on scene led to a quick knock and save!

There were no injuries and the owners pets were safely located unharmed. The cause is under investigation.
